During the two-year long Grundtvig Partnership „Enough for Everyone Forever“ four European organizations (based in Spain, France, Germany and Poland) work together to improve educational methods for sustainable education.

All four partners use creative methods to work with adults on political and ecological topics, but each one is expert on a specific approach such as visual arts, theatre or music.

Each organization hosts one meeting, inviting the partners to get to know its context of educational work. During those meetings, we share our skills and experiences both in theoretical and practical ways. Combining our creative approaches, we develop an interdisciplinary action that is carried out in the public space and sensibilizing the audience about sustainability.

What we have learned during the process is then transformed by each partner into an innovative pedagogical concept adapted to the organizations context and target group. After putting the concept into practice individually, we meet for the last time in order to reflect on the potential of the new tools that we have developed and to plan our future transnational projects, where we are going to bring together adults from different cultural backgrounds and use our newly acquired educational skills to work together on a sustainable future.

to.pole

To.pole Association was established in 2010 in Kraków, Poland. It is open space which brings together people, who wish in a creative and active way to affect positive changes in the local community they live in. Great importance for all of us is the respect to cultural heritage, tradition and history, as well as building intercultural dialogue and responsible attitudes towards environment.

We wish to share our values with others, through innovative and creative activities, which we propose in our projects. Crucial part of our work is engaging local community into our actions, so we often work in public space. We search for innovative methods and forms to involve people into process of creation, to make them active.

One of the  main aims of organization is  empowerment of people from  disadvantaged areas, including elderly people, by organizing, spreading  and supporting cultural and educational activities, which they are engaged in. Projects we organized so far were reflecting our common philosophy of sustainable development and included issues mentioned above. The audience and participants were mostly adults, but we never set age limit as one of our goals is to work for dialogue between generations.

By participation in this project, we wish to exchange knowledge and experience on adults ecological education through arts. We want to work out new and more effective methods in that field, which we can implement, together with other European partner organizations. We wish that the project will be also the starting point of our future cooperation with mentioned partners, also beyond the project.

Scalable visual identity

Here are the first lines of work about possible EEE visual identity and baseline, through whole progression of ideas (please don't consider style, wich will be improved later)

Research started from general symbols around prosperity, equity, balance, and quite quickly turned on ideas toward visualising creative and opened cooperation, and expressing common products wich could get out of that

The figures of "intersection" and "complementarity" in contributions who lead to a shared result (what could be less banal that a star to express it...) appears to be the richest at this first step

Another alternative would have been the figure of cherubim (sort of angel with four wings, one for each partner)

It appears that main actual message should be "work in progress" upon environmental themes instead of "final result" as exact final product won't be found before the end of the project

This os the reason why provisory identity shows different combinations of four different petals creating an scalable flower

What is that Flowerpott?

The Theaterbuendnis Blumenstrauss e.V. (like a bouquet with a matching flower for everybody) is a non-profit organisation aiming at cultural education by interdiciplinary approaches of music, theatre, dance, media-pedagogics, and the faciliation of language and movement. As a collective group of artists and teachers we are member of the federal association of cultural education. On a local level we are committed to the education network "Campus Marianne" for young and adult learners. Founded as a result of the squatting of the Bethanien community center in the year 2005 the organisation firstly aimed on the neighbourhood there with all it's diversity. In the following years international project were developed additionally, such as youth exchanges or symposiums. The Theaterbuendnis operates with and actively developes integrated concepts and methods for cultural and political education with a special focus on education for sustainable development, and in close cooperation with educational institutions. In 2010 a theatre-pedagogical centre TheaterSpielRaum was created which hold the undertitle "laboratory for life-practice" where non-professionals and professional artists are encouraged to experiement in terms of work and life-style.

Berlin, october 2012 : first meeting

After usual ice breakers and individual crossed presentation, each participant of EEE project introduced his national structure, upon birth, aim, membership and possible future topics.

This gave this opportunity to compare four quite different collective practices, whom it's possible to classify upon nature of relationship between members, and specific place it's anchored in.

PIC project (S) was built around organising a squat, and progressively adding collective garden and any kind of free workshops, from dance contact to permaculture, strongly linked to Barcelone citizens

Theaterbundnis (D) history also started near to a common working place, which catalyze ideas and energies, where projects are hosted and feed his area (especially with a street theater festival)

Topoles (P) group of close friends first developed several local projects among traditional culture, music and dance, then went to international goals including environmental awareness

Communication consultants of GO network (F) developed NPO and completely virtual relationship to answer together to private and public call for proposals, delegating most of the work to some resource persons. From this quite utilitarian purpose, the network had recently the opportunity to develop and share environmental process

All this projects are completely precarious, depending on some invested and passionate persons good willing.

Further this first round table, came the time to go deeper in common productions each national participant was supposed to be part of

Next visits' dates and collective process were planned for following step, in order to allow each host to introduce practices and add a part of his own competences in the production

It was agreed it was not possible yet to clearly define this one, as it was first meeting and open creative process, but that may's french step main purpose will be to build some skills of possible productions

Collserola Interaction Point

What is the PIC?

The Collserola Interaction Point (PIC) is a social learning centre located near the immigrant rich, working class district of Nou Barris in the Collserola national park which surrounds Barcelona. Nou Barris has a rich history of social and cultural engagement through a network of self-organized, municipal education and social centres in which the PIC plays an active part. Participants in the open PIC curriculum vary from twenty to sixty years of age and come from the nearby neighbourhoods and the cities social movements. Courses are further well attended by those interested in agroecology, permaculture, and urban agriculture. This mix is part of the PIC vocation to educate, promote and disseminate values, skills and knowledge. The PIC, has over 10 years of experience in the field of adult education and shares its knowledge through traditional and innovative forms of peer-to-peer and student-teacher interaction that follow three lines of programming: informative, practical and embodied. Each, is a separate yet complementary way to integrate knowledge, whose goal is to provide tools for personal and collective autonomy. Education is facilitated through different strategies such as: Regular Weekend activities (e.g. lectures, conferences, jams, labs, workshops, performances); Collaborative Learning Groups (small ongoing groups working with or without designated 'teachers' researching a single topic during an extended period of time); weekly organic agriculture exchanges of labour, food and knowledge; weekly guided tours of the project for the general public, The Rurban Office (publicly accessible documentation space with a library, relevant catalogues, a bank of maps, a ecological seed bank, internet access and bulletin boards). As a sustainable, consensus built project, the PIC shares its knowledge in democratic alternatives, non-violent conflict resolution and permaculture. It, further, supervises the sustainability, eco-friendliness, and consensual organization of the learning partnership to ensure It's continued viability after this initial funding has ended.
